Still Bay Coastal Clean-up Enhancement Project

Where there are people, there is unfortunately also waste and litter. Our beautiful rivers and beaches are among the most vulnerable places where litter, waste, and plastics get carried into steams and tides, affecting aquatic life, water quality, and ultimately the people and places downstream.

The Still Bay Coastal Clean-up Group is a dedicated team of roughly 150 local volunteers who selflessly give their time to pick up where others have left off. This incredible team has a deep passion for their community and the stunning natural environment of the Still Bay area.

To further support the efforts of these amazing volunteers, the Still Bay Coastal Clean-up Enhancement Project has secured a Friends of the Biosphere grant!

Thanks to the financial contributions of local businesses (heroes), this grant will be used to buy essential tools and equipment that will help volunteers stay safe, avoid injury or contamination, and work more efficiently.

A massive thank you to the Still Bay Coastal Clean-up crew for taking positive action for the environment and their community!

We wish them the best of luck and know and trust that this support will help them to make more positive impacts for many clean-up events to come!
