Louise Kluyts, a remarkably talented artist based in Heidelberg, has long supported the Gouritz Cluster Biosphere Reserve (GCBR) and wholeheartedly embraces its quest to celebrate and conserve the region’s incredible biodiversity.
Through her dedication, Louise secured a high-visibility, road-facing wall at Inspired Creations on the N2 in Heidelberg for an environmental awareness mural. This artwork aims to captivate and inspire, featuring indigenous plants from the region depicted in a cativating design that ascends gracefully from the ground. Additionally, the mural is highlighting the three global biodiversity hotspots located within the GCBR region, emphasizing the area’s ecological significance.
The Inspired Mural serves as a selfie wall, merging environmental education, awareness, and tourism into a visually striking masterpiece. Its goal is to spark curiosity, attract visitors, and encourage engagement while raising awareness about the region’s rich natural heritage.
A heartfelt thank you to Louise for her vision, talent, and creativity in bringing this incredible project to life. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact it will have on fostering appreciation for the unique beauty of our region. Thank you to, Louise and her team, and a BIG thank you to all our Hessequa Heroes!
